We continuously face uncertain risks and threats in our daily lives. Whether it is the impact of severe weather in the form of localised flooding, snow or heatwave; a major disaster.
An Emergency Plan has been developed for the PCTs in East Sussex. This describes the organisations' responsibilities during a major incident, and how we will interact with the other responding agencies.
For planning purposes, all responding organisations are brought together under the umbrella of the Sussex Resilience Forum (SLRF).
One of the main threats to the health of the population is currently identified as pandemic flu. Locally this has been devolved to us for planning purposes.
