School Nursing has come a long way over recent years. Today teams consist of School Nurses who are registered Nurses with a second qualification in School Nursing. They are supported by School Staff Nurses who are registered Nurses, and by qualified Community Nursery Nurses. Each team cover a number of schools and are based in the community.
School Nursing offers a wide range of services to children, young people and their families caring for children aged 5-19 years old.

Each section provides information on health issues for the specific age group including how to contact your School Nursing team and links to useful websites and organisations.
